One of the primary objectives of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is to promote education and training in commercial shipping. The Institute offers programs such as Foundation Diploma, Advance Diploma, Qualifying Examinations leading to the membership of the Institute and specialized training such as Understanding Shipping, Maritime World Explained, etc. The details of the programs can be seen in www.ics.org.uk/learning

The Middle East Branch supports the Education initiatives of the Institute by organising regular lectures and Prep sessions. The lecture series, known as the Knowledge Series, is popular among the local shipping industry. Many local companies uses the Knowledge Series as part of their employee training program.

Corporate Training: The ICS Middle East Branch conducts corporate training for shipping and logistics companies as well as users of shipping and logistics such as traders, manufacturers, etc. Customized training modules are prepared in consultation with the client.  The Corporate Training programs are delivered using modern methods of pedagogy such as presentations, games, case studies and group discussions.
