Krishnan has 3 decades of varied experience in the field of Supply Chain & Logistics. Started his career with one of India’s leading Public Sector Oil Companies, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (9 years), followed by Shell Petroleum in Dubai and Singapore (14 years) and 5 years with Aurora Tankers Middle East (part of IMC group, Singapore), heading the Marketing & Sales for Bulk Chemical Ships for the Middle East trade. He is currently a Consultant & Corporate Trainer in the field of Supply Chain & Logistics and adjunct faculty in leading Management Colleges in the UAE.

He is currently the President of the Middle East branch of the ICS and a member of the controlling council of ICS U.K. He joined the ICS in 2002 and was awarded Fellowship in 2009. He is passionate about learning through sharing of knowledge and experiences and is a key contributor to the education activities of the ICS and associate organisations. His previous tenures in the ICS Middle east branch committee includes the position of General Secretary during 2014-17 and convener of Education Committee during 2005-07.

Krishna Prasad, Kaypee as he is known in the industry circles, has nearly three decades of experience in various segments of the shipping industry: ship-owning, ship-operation, ship-broking and Liner trades. He is presently the Managing Director of Aster Marine Cargo based in Dubai. He holds a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and is a Post Graduate in Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Kolkatta, India. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers since 1996 and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

He is the founder Secretary of the East India Branch of the ICS and had initiated the Lecture Series for ICS students in Chennai. He was also instrumental in starting the student lecture series in Dubai. Kaypee is a member of the Middle East Branch Committee and is currently the General Secretary of the Branch. He is also a member of the Education and Training Committee of the ICS.

Maritime professional with a combined experience of close to 20 years. After sailing with Aurora Tankers for 15 years and getting his command at the age of 28, he went on being in command for a period of 4 years. He later took up a shore based role in the Middle East office. He is presently heading the Middle East office of Aurora Tankers as Manager - Chartering & Operations.

Ali Canani is the youngest member on the team based on age and experience but has many accolades to his name already. He won the president's prize award (with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) in 2014. He leads two companies actively; Al Canani Foodstuff Traders LLC (selling over 80,000 MT of dates per year) since 2003 and Red Pearl Logistics (which offers customs clearance and manages 13 trucks for transportation) since 2007.

He joined the ICS in 2014 after passing all 7 exams in 1 sitting and was awarded Fellowship in 2015. As a curious learner, he is passionate about learning through sharing. He has been a tutor of the branch since the day he passed the exams. As the current treasurer, Ali strives to create economic value for the organization over the term 2017-2020.

He has over 2 decades of experience in Ship Sale & Purchase, New Building, Demolition and Chartering. .

He is member of ICS since 2011 and elected as Fellow of ICS in 2017. He is currently working with Eastgate Shipping LLC, Dubai and helps his clients with Buying and/ or Selling of Ships Including New Building and Demolition Chartering including Voyage & Time Charter and Bareboat.

His clients include Ship owners / Investors / Traders / Demo Cash Buyers / Charterers / Fund Houses / Banks / Shipyards etc. He also supports them with Market research and analysis, Financial modelling, Ship valuations, Feasibility studies Consultancy.

He is active in Tankers and Bulkers but has also concluded deals in Container / LPG Tankers / Offshore vessels. He helps the ICS students in tutorship Programme and teaches them Ship Sale and Purchase and Ship Finance. Before entering into the Shipping industry he qualified as Mechanical Engineer and MBA from premier institutes of India.
